Outdoor Photography Venues Near Spokane at Kelly Tareski Photography
Kelly Tareski Photography has multiple outdoor portrait settings on a five-acre property in Nine Mile Falls, Washington, near Spokane. More than three acres include gardens and vineyard areas, along with handcrafted structures, rustic gates, vintage vehicles, and other seasonal settings.
This article focuses specifically on the outdoor side of the property. For the complete overview of all five indoor studios plus outdoor locations, see the Photography Studios and Outdoor Venues Near Spokane guide.
Garden and Vineyard Photography Settings
The gardens change throughout the growing season, which gives the property different color, texture, and foliage at different times of year. Vineyard areas, flower gardens, gravel paths, and natural greenery can be used when they fit the portrait style and current conditions.
Because plants, flowers, weather, and light are seasonal, I do not promise one exact outdoor appearance for every date. We plan around what the property looks like at the time of your session.
Rustic and Handcrafted Outdoor Features
The property also includes several handcrafted features that create a different look from the gardens. These include the Industrial Garden Gate built from a vintage warehouse door, the Apiary and honey-bee area, the Chicken Coop Venue, rustic structures, and vintage elements placed around the grounds.
Those locations can add weathered wood, metal, architectural lines, and country character to a portrait gallery without requiring us to leave the property.
The Greenhouse as an Indoor-Outdoor Option
The Greenhouse is technically one of the indoor studios, but its natural light, plants, windows, and garden-inspired surroundings make it a useful bridge between studio and outdoor photography. It can be especially helpful when a client wants a natural look with more protection from changing weather.
Which Portrait Sessions Can Use the Outdoor Venues?
Outdoor settings can be considered for family portraits, senior pictures, maternity portraits, couples and engagement sessions, contemporary portraits, branding images, and other custom portrait work. The best locations depend on group size, mobility, wardrobe, season, lighting, and the look you want.
Many sessions can combine more than one setting because the studios and outdoor venues are located on the same property.
Planning Around Light, Weather, and the Season
Outdoor photography is affected by weather and changing natural light. During planning, we can discuss the time of day, current garden conditions, temperature, mobility needs, and backup options if the weather changes.
