Hi there! I'm Kelly from Kelly Tareski Photography. Family portraits can become artwork that documents the people, relationships, and stages of life that matter to your family.

My studio property is in Nine Mile Falls near Spokane and includes five acres of outdoor settings plus five indoor studios with different looks. We can choose the setting based on the people attending, the season, accessibility, wardrobe, and the style of portraits you want to create.

One of the most rewarding parts of being a photographer is the variety of sessions I get to offer. No matter what stage of life you’re in, I’ve got a session just for you:

• Maternity – Celebrating the excitement and beauty of pregnancy is one of my absolute favorite things to photograph. Whether you’re glowing in the garden or snuggling up in one of our cozy indoor studios, we’ll capture this magical time.
• Newborn – Those first few weeks go by so quickly, and having photos of your little one in all their fresh, tiny perfection is priceless. My indoor studios offer a safe, comfortable environment for those first family portraits.
• Family Photos – This is where we get to have some real fun! Whether it’s the kids running around the garden or a more styled shoot indoors, we’ll make sure every family member’s personality shines through.
• Senior Portraits – A rite of passage! Senior portraits are all about capturing this exciting chapter in your teen’s life. Whether they want to go bold, casual, or somewhere in between, I work with each senior to create portraits that reflect who they are.

Each session is customized to fit the vision of the family, making sure that the end result is something personal and unique. You’ll never get cookie-cutter photography here—just pure creativity and lots of love!

Now, let’s talk about the experience! Taking family photos can sometimes feel like a challenge, especially if you’ve got little ones who’d rather be playing than posing. But don’t worry—I’ve seen it all, and I know how to make the experience enjoyable for everyone, including you!

At Kelly Tareski Photography, I provide guidance on wardrobe, groupings, posing, and the order of photographs so families know what to expect. With children, I keep the plan flexible enough for movement or short breaks when needed. If you want to include a pet, mention that during planning so we can confirm the appropriate setting and logistics.

Our Stunning Outdoor Venues

When it comes to Spokane family photos, the setting is everything! I’ve spent years cultivating a variety of outdoor options right here on our five-acre studio property. From lush, flower-filled gardens to rustic barns and open fields, each spot offers something unique. These areas are not only beautiful but designed to make everyone feel relaxed and comfortable in a natural environment.

Off-site Spokane-area locations can also be considered when they fit the session. Access, permits, crowds, parking, weather, and current location rules can change, so confirm the specific location during planning rather than assuming a public site is always available for a portrait session.

Creating an Experience – Not Just a Photo Session

The planning process can include wardrobe coordination, location selection, important family groupings, accessibility needs, and the overall level of formality you prefer. During the session, I provide posing and expression direction while also leaving room for less structured interaction when it fits the family and the photographs we are creating.

My five indoor studios provide additional options when an indoor setting fits the session. Each studio is designed with a different aesthetic in mind, from elegant and refined to rustic and cozy. This gives us so many options for creating a variety of looks, no matter what style suits your family best.

The controlled lighting indoors also makes it possible to capture those special moments even when the weather isn’t cooperating outside. Whether we’re going for a glamorous, staged look or something more relaxed and intimate, we can create whatever atmosphere you’re dreaming of.
