I enjoy working with clients who bring a clear idea, story, era, hobby, or visual concept to a session. A theme can influence wardrobe, props, set choice, lighting, and location, but it is optional. In this post, I’ll explain how themed sessions work and what to consider when deciding whether one fits you.

What is a Themed Photography Session?

Firstly, let's talk about what themed photography sessions actually are. Essentially, themed sessions are photoshoots that are centered around a particular theme. The theme can be anything you like - from "Underwater Wonderland" to "Vintage Glamour" to "Tractor Fun". A themed session goes beyond just taking regular photos - it's about creating an entire scene that brings your vision to life. Everything from the wardrobe and makeup to the props and location can be tailored to suit the chosen theme.
