At KTP, "empowering" does not mean promising that a photo session will change how someone feels about their body or confidence. It means giving the person being photographed meaningful choices about wardrobe, coverage, posing, expression, privacy, and how the finished photographs are used.

What Can You Choose Before the Session?

Planning can include the visual mood, level of coverage, wardrobe, sets, indoor or outdoor preferences, privacy expectations, and any poses or ideas you do not want. Boudoir does not require nudity or lingerie. A session can include robes, dresses, shirts, jackets, jeans, bodysuits, athletic pieces, implied coverage, or fully dressed portraits.

• Wardrobe: Bring pieces that fit the look you want and feel comfortable to move in.
• Coverage: Decide what you are comfortable showing and what you want kept covered.
• Visual style: Choose from softer, dramatic, editorial, playful, classic, or another direction that fits you.
• Privacy: Ask how galleries, files, image use, and sharing permissions are handled before the session.

Where Can a Spokane-Area Boudoir Session Take Place?

Kelly Tareski Photography has five indoor studios on our private property in Nine Mile Falls: the White Studio, Grey Studio, Old Cabin Studio, Apothecary Studio, and Greenhouse Studio. Each gives the session a different visual direction, from bright and minimal to darker, textured, rustic, or garden-inspired.

The property also includes outdoor portrait settings across five acres. Outdoor details, gardens, foliage, weather, and seasonal conditions change, so the specific setting should be confirmed during planning rather than assumed from an older gallery. What Happens Before the Boudoir Session?

Before the appointment, we can discuss what you want the photographs to feel like, which settings interest you, wardrobe ideas, privacy preferences, and anything that would make posing or movement more comfortable. You do not need to arrive knowing how to pose.

If professional hair and makeup is something you want to consider, review the current hair and makeup information and confirm what is available for your session. Styling is an option, not a requirement for successful boudoir portraits.

What Happens During the Session?

I provide direction for posture, hands, shoulders, expression, movement, and camera angle so you do not have to invent poses on your own. Direction can be adjusted at any point. If a pose, level of coverage, or idea does not feel right, it can be changed or skipped.

The goal is not to force everyone into the same version of boudoir. We can build variety through lighting, wardrobe, expression, crop, set choice, and posing while keeping the session within the boundaries you established.

How Are Privacy and Image Use Handled?

Creating boudoir photographs does not automatically mean agreeing to public display. Before booking, ask how image-use permission works and how galleries or files are delivered. If privacy is important to you, say so during planning so expectations are clear before the session begins.

Finished photographs may be kept private, printed, placed in an album, displayed as artwork, or shared according to the choices available with the session and the permissions you provide.
