Boudoir

Boudoir portrait photography is an intimate style of portraiture that can be elegant, understated, playful, dramatic, or somewhere in between. At Kelly Tareski Photography, I photograph boudoir sessions at my studio property in Nine Mile Falls near Spokane. The session is planned around the client's preferences, privacy, wardrobe, boundaries, and the way she wants to be photographed.

The Session

Before the session, we can discuss wardrobe, studio style, lighting, the level of coverage you prefer, and any photographs you do or do not want included. Boudoir can feel unfamiliar for someone who has not done this type of portrait session before, so I explain the process and keep communication open throughout the shoot.

The Experience

The session can be customized through wardrobe, studio setting, lighting, posing, color, black-and-white treatment, and the overall visual direction. Lingerie is one option, but robes, dresses, sweaters, shirts, bodysuits, and other clothing can also work when they fit the concept. You do not need to follow one boudoir formula.

During the Session

I provide direction for body position, hands, expression, and small movements throughout the session. If a pose, wardrobe choice, or level of coverage does not fit what you want, we can adjust it. The goal is to create a useful range of portraits within the style and boundaries discussed during planning.

After the Session

Selected images are professionally edited as part of the portrait workflow. Current retouching, image, album, print, wall-art, and digital-file options can vary, so confirm the current offering when you plan or select your session products.
