Looking Back - The Last 3 Years of Senior Portraits In Spokane
As I take a look back on the last three years of taking senior portraits in Spokane, I am overcome with emotion - proud of the work I have been able to accomplish and grateful for each milestone that has brought me closer to achieving my photography goals. From building relationships with high schools to developing new and creative ideas for locations and posing, it's all been an incredibly rewarding experience! It has also forced me out of my comfort zone again and again. But this process is essential to growth as a photographer.
Every challenge (and there were many!) allowed me to discover something more about myself as an artist – including learning how important it was for me to stay organized throughout the workflow process from beginning to end.
Introducing Myself, Kelly from Kelly Tareski Photography - Reflection on my journey as a Photographer in Spokane
Hello, everyone! My name is Kelly, and I am thrilled to be here. As the owner of Kelly Tareski Photography, I have been able to capture some of the most beautiful moments of people's lives, and I am grateful for this journey as a photographer in Spokane. I first picked up a camera when I was just a young girl, always fascinated by the way photos had the power to freeze a moment in time. Over the years, my passion for photography only grew stronger, and I eventually turned it into a full-time career.
Every day, I am humbled by the opportunity to meet new people and tell their stories through my lens. My work has taken me all around Spokane, and I feel incredibly fortunate to live and work in such a beautiful part of the world. So thank you, Spokane, for offering me the chance to do what I love most.
Biggest Accomplishment - Discussing My Proudest Achievement in Senior Portraits
As a photographer, I have had several notable moments of excellence in my career, but the one that stands out the most is my experience with the Portrait Masters program and producing Senior Portraits. The program taught me how to hone my craft and allowed me to produce truly beautiful and professional images. My proudest achievement in this area is capturing the essence of the individual I'm photographing. Senior portraits carry with them a special weight of importance as they mark the closing of one chapter and the start of another. Being able to create lasting memories of this pivotal moment in someone's life is by far my biggest accomplishment and brings me immense satisfaction. It’s always a privilege to help someone hold onto their cherished memories forever.
The Most Memorable Senior Portraits - Exploring the Stories behind Some of My Favorite Photos
As a photographer, I've had the pleasure of capturing countless senior portraits over the years. However, there are a handful that will always stick out in my mind as the most memorable. Take Sophia, for instance. Her bubbly personality was contagious and shone through every shot. Then there was Madison, who had a quiet confidence that radiated from within. And I'll never forget Colby's infectious smile and the way he effortlessly lit up the camera. But perhaps the portrait that stands out the most is Mia's. It wasn't just her striking features and stunning wardrobe choice; it was the palpable excitement and sense of accomplishment that came with this milestone moment. These stories behind my favorite senior portraits prove that while a photo may be worth a thousand words, the memories and experiences that accompany it are truly priceless.

My journey began with a passion for capturing beautiful moments, but it was only after attending numerous photography workshops that I truly began to develop my style and technique. Among the many inspiring and talented photographers I've learned from, Sue Bryce from The Portrait Masters has been a standout. Her teachings have helped me refine my skills and expand my creativity, bringing about an evolution in my work that I never thought possible. It's an ongoing process, and I look forward to continuing to grow and improve.
